Story
Welcome to Kanji Ramen, Cape Town’s home of authentic Japanese cuisine. Founded by Restaurateur Gavin Hagger and Chef Seelan Sundoo, Kanji brings traditional ramen and Japanese street-food-style small plates to South Africa’s culinary capital.
Inspired by their love of Japanese flavours, Gavin and Seelan created Kanji Ramen to introduce Cape Town to the rich, comforting taste of ramen. The menu features carefully crafted bowls of ramen, each simmered to perfection with hand-pulled noodles and tender slices of meat or veg. They also offer a selection of classic Japanese small plates, perfect for sharing or enjoying as appetizers.
